First of all we’d like to say thank you to everyone who came out for our first ever Grape Stomping Festival! We had a ball, and the weather was absolutely perfect for wine and music. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the stomping, and big shoutout to El Capitán and Stone Canyon for awesome performances!
This weekend is still going to be just as packed, but we like it that way! On Saturday and Sunday we’ll be pouring at the Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival. The weather looks like it’s going to be gorgeous, and we can’t wait to head up there. We’re actually sending all boys to pour, isn’t that funny? So if you see a tent full of good-looking men then you know you’ve found the right spot!
This Saturday we also have Attimo Winery’s Salute Vantaggio, 10-5 p.m.. They’re attempting to break a world record for longest toast relay! All proceeds are going to Auburn Elementary School, and we can’t think of anything better than raising money for a good cause by raising your glass!
We’ll also be serving up wine on Sunday at Smithfield Plantation on Virginia Tech’s campus. The plantation is hosting the Old Pros Big Band concert, 3-5 p.m. and it should be a blast! They’ll be playing 40’s music and all proceeds go directly back in to preserving the beautiful Smithfield and keeping up the Montgomery Museum. There’s so much history here in the New River Valley, and we’re so luck to be right in the middle of it!
The winery will also be open all weekend, and the downtown Blacksburg wine shop is open 11-7 Saturday. Come see us this weekend, we’re everywhere! Cheers!
