How can it be September already? It seems like Memorial Day was just yesterday, and now we’re putting away our white jeans until next year. Sigh.
(Although to be honest, that whole “no white after Labor Day” rule is so outdated anyway. Life is short, wear the white pants.)
Beliveau Estate just wrapped up its Dog Days of Summer event this weekend, and we’re proud to say it was a hit! The property was overrun with cute pups, and the wine was certainly flowing.
We ended up having great weather (for the most part, it is Blacksburg after all) and all the dogs and their owners really seemed to enjoy themselves! September and October are shaping up to be busy, busy, busy for us. If it’s not a festival or event here, it’s one somewhere else. Not to mention the weddings! We have a wedding every single wedding in October. No joke! The leaves on the mountains should be absolutely gorgeous this year, so they should provide a lovely backdrop.
We’ll be keeping you up-to-date every week with what’s going on here, so check back often! In the meantime, mark your calendars for our first-ever Grape Stomping Festival, September 22, 12-7 p.m. We’ll be having wine tastings, grape stomping (naturally) and live music by El Capitán as well as Stone Canyon. Tickets will be $15, and the event is rain or shine!
Also, we hope everyone is planning on cheering on the Hokies at their first home game of the season! If you find yourself in downtown Blacksburg, stop by our tasting room on Roanoke Street and have a glass or two.
(Or four, we won’t tell if you don’t.)
